Boardwalk Bullies v. Las Vegas
Time: 10:05PM
Las Vegas, NV – Scott Horvath tallied a pair of goals and Dustan Heintz scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal at 1:44 of the third period to lead the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to a 3-2 victory over the Las Vegas Wranglers at the Orleans Arena in ECHL preseason action on Saturday. Horvath opened the scoring for the Bullies at 5:53 of the second period when he tucked Derek Edwardson’s rebound underneath Las Vegas goalie Marc Magliarditi for a 1-0 lead. The Wranglers would counter 27 seconds later shorthanded when Darren Lynch took a lead pass from Mike McBain behind the Bullies defense and fired a slap shot past Atlantic City goaltender Jake Moreland at 6:20 to tie the score 1-1. Horvath would give the Bullies a 2-1 advantage with his second goal of the night when, off a turnover at the blue line, he streaked in alone on Magliarditi and slipped the puck behind the Wranglers net-minder at 10:31 of the second period. Las Vegas would net the equalizer at 1:28 of the third period as Dana Lattery slapped Dustin Johner’s rebound past Bullies goaltender Adam Munro to tie the score once again 2-2. Heintz would put the Bullies ahead for good with a goal just 16 seconds later at 1:44 to make the final score 3-2. Las Vegas out-shot the Bullies 40-29. Moreland and Munro combined to make 38 saves. Atlantic City went 0-6 on the power play. |
